Our mission is to serve Ozaukee County veterans and their families by informing them of and assisting them in obtaining the federal, state and local benefits they have earned.
Coordinating Veteran Services Our office informs veterans of various benefits and the specific eligibility criteria for each. We assist veterans in completing benefit applications and in compiling the supporting documentation necessary for successful adjudication of each claim.
Our office coordinates a transportation program for veterans who need assistance getting to/from medical appointments at the Veterans Hospital in Milwaukee. There is a nominal charge for this service.
We coordinate the countywide decoration of veterans’ graves prior to Memorial Day each year. The county provides the flags, as well as the flag holders.
We will also assist you in recording your military discharge papers or obtaining them in the event you have misplaced them.
